Those wheels are terrible.

I think I’d rather see an M3 with a fascia protector and a shaggy seat cover than kept guarder in a garage and taken out 2000km a year, like M cars are treated in these parts

Definitely glad it’s being driven but I bet road salt gets under that bra and is really tearing up the front end.

yeah but I’m thinking these are just winter wheels.

Those are the go-to Tire Rack winters for the E9x M3.

I mean, both are bad, but erring on the side of driving is better.

But that bra... ugh.

Why do people not know that clear bra’s and xpel exist?

Lot more $$$... and best if applied before a car sees any miles.

and a popular one for the E9X 335, as well - - I’ve seen them on a number of non-M cars, too.

I’ve got winter wheels for my E46 and never gave a crap about what they looked like - they’re a size smaller than the OEM, mostly so I could get the same rolling diameter with a cheaper tire.

But totally worth it over ruining the front with that monstrosity.

They could’ve (should’ve?) done what I did and just accept rock chips as a fact of life, and evidence of a car well-enjoyed.

They’re cheap and they fit? Sold!

That’s also true, but if you are going to do the bra, do it right.

Kinja'd!!! WilliamsSW > davesaddiction @ opposite-lock.com

Kinja'd!!!1

Exactly!

They’re gonna get a lot of brake dust and salt all over them, plus the smaller wheel size gives me more sidewall - all the better for Chicago potholes when we get the freeze/thaw cycle.

Yeah, just saying really doing it right might involve a respray and end up costing like 3 grand all in.

Let alone that no matter how tight it is, it will flap and scuff the paint on the hood and fenders. I’d rather see that clear protective stuff than a car bra

Yeah no kidding, who would put those on their car...

Kinja'd!!!

In my defense I bought them used at about 50 bucks a pop, do you also figure the tires were 50 each.

So, $400 for a full winter wheel/tire combo set on an E90?

Hell yeah!

Yup with about 3,000 miles on the Blizzaks. The wheels have some rash on them but oh well. I’ll probably paint them this summer. Haven’t decided yet if I’m going to do a silly color like purple or teal or just do gun metal or maybe bronze.

Oh shit!

It only reminds me about that scene in Skyfall where Javier Bardem removes some aparatus from his mouth and it goes all wierd.
